The back side of the earbuds definitely looks different than the AirPods, they are flat from the back and have this silver strip that goes all the way down to the bottom. The added thickness makes them fit more securely, but for some that may cause discomfort and might even lead to them falling off more often. However, the earbuds are definitely thicker and some people might find them too large to fit in their ear.
